New Executive Director at HC
Paul Manning joins the Hancock Center as the Executive Director, bringing with him nearly twenty years of commitment to mission work within the non-profit sector. The Board of Directors of Hancock Center is pleased to have found an Executive Director with as much experience in leading charitable organizations as Manning has. He will lead the Center in fulfilling its focus of improving the lives of others by providing body-centered, movement-based psychotherapy, education and outreach.
Amy Thomas, Board President, along with other members of the Board of Directors, would like to acknowledge Rena Kornblum for her leadership as Executive Director for nearly twelve years. Kornblum's vision and work has made an indelible mark on the field of dance/movement therapy and in the mental health community in Madison, WI. She has guided the center through new processes that align to its mission and have developed Hancock Center operations. Rena will continue as a key member of Hancock Center, focusing her clinical work and coordinating the In-School Violence Prevention Program.
Our Professional Staff includes four board certified dance/movement therapists and two office staff. The Dance/Movement Therapy Certification Board of the American Dance Therapy Association approves credentials for dance/movement therapists. The first level is Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT) and the second level is Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT). The dance therapists at Hancock Center are licensed by the state of Wisconsin to practice dance/movement therapy as psychotherapy (DTRL).
